Guns and Babas

When I used to read Alakh Nagri and Shahab Nama and would hear Ashfaq sahib talking about powerful fuqara, Babas and Kharqa posh dervesh who are present on the most humblest of places but are powerful part of the divine spiritual world, I would always long to find a baba myself. Many people have doubted the presence of such Babas and have made mockery of Ashfaq sahib and Mumtaz Mufti. But the fact is that these amazing mysterious souls exist, living a life of divine disdain, working under cover for the spiritual world, unknown to the world but managing its affairs through incredible spiritual powers. Baba Ashfaq and Baba Shahab and Baba Mumtaz had not lied. How could they when they themselves were part of this strange and mystical world!

Then one day, I found a baba too. All day long, Khan baba cuts grass for his cows and collects firewood for cooking at home in a remote village of NWFP. He sits on the roadside on broken charpais, wearing only a thin cotton Kurta without any warm clothes except his torn chaader which hardly covers his huge frame. He is 90 plus in age, MashAllah, but fit enough to shame the youngsters of today. He is illiterate from the worldly sense, never watches TV or listen to radio nor reads the newspapers. He is no different from millions of ordinary illiterate pashtun villagers we see every day and pass without even noticing. But then when he starts to speak, he starts to shake your soul with profound wisdom, vision, knowledge and spirituality which actualy stuns you every time. He speaks the knowledge of the unknown and the unseen which is not written in any book but can only be a direct gift from Allah (swt). Baba is the Operational Commander of the spiritual world.

Today, when I met the Baba, he was very sad, serious and concerned for Pakistan. He said "Lots of blood will spill now but we are trying to stop this and ask for mercy from Allah. People want to replace filth with more filth" he referred to the upcoming elections. "The rulers have become beyghairat, rizq of leaders is Haram and they are milking even the bones of Pakistan!" Baba went on in Jalal. "The files of the rulers are now open and decision about them will come soon", he looked towards the heavens and spoke as if in trance. "We need a ruler who has ghairat", he continued. "why they have not yet seized the Maal e Ghaneemat?", he asked me angrily, referring to the NATO supplies. He was angry with the Chief Justice and the army leadership for delaying the critical decisions of NRO, Memo and NATO. He said that army does not have much time also. If the army does not take brave and bold decisions, then the war would come upon them. He clearly warned that do not be afraid of America. "Amrika ko cancer ho gia hay", He conveyed the spiritual message with unshakable confidence. Wait for a few days. You will start to see what Allah decides about these people, he referred to Zardari and his gang.

It was clear after today's meeting that Allah and His Special Operations Teams are in Jalal on this government and on the judiciary and wanted the army to clean up the mess and were not happy because army had already delayed it for so long. There were clear signs that a severe punishment for this nation is now due and Baba was begging Allah for mercy.

Our mood was deadly serious when we took leave. It still is.

On our way back, we came across our firing range and decided to refresh our battle skills and prepare for what might come towards this nation now. If we have to go down, we will go down fighting and with honor but would never betray Rasul Allah (sm). But for now, we have to carry on the fight. The dice has been thrown, chess board has been set. Forces of evil and soldiers of Rasul Allah (sm) are armed and standing against each other, even in the spiritual plane.

On the ground level, we took out our rifle and prepared to do our duty even in the battle field. The leaders, judges, political parties and mediamen of this nation would go down in history as the most treacherous, corrupt and soulless monsters Ummah has ever seen. The price for freedom, dignity and honor would now be paid in blood, unless Allah decides to have mercy and hear the pleas of his Fuqara like Khan Baba.
