selected their leader! The finest, most dignified, most honorable were
selected. Those selected never wanted to take up the position for fear
of Allah's accountability. There was no hard and fast rule to appoint
them. Four Caliphs have been appointed in 4 different ways but the rules
and criteria were always the same - the best amongst them all.
