The afternoon winter sunshine was beating through the dried almost dead looking trees when we reached Ayub Park. Winters has its own mystical beauty, especially in the afternoon sunshine when the world seems so philosophical, so intense, so sad!
The jungle was so lifeless despite the flocks of noisy crows and squirrels trying to make the most of the little remaining sunshine.
The consolation within the soul was that we knew that when the spring time comes, this dead garden would once again spring to life. Reminded me of our beloved Pakistan. I was sad too. But we did find the serenity and the peace which our solitude loving souls so relished.
Me and my wife had been making plans for exercise for a long time but for ages we would only get the "sawab" of Niyat :) but today, we finally made it and walked so much, discovering new tracks and paths which we had never seen before and guess what? even found a horse to ride though the spoiled animal was so pampered that he was not willing to get his feet muddy in the jungle and resisted fiercely but only responded when shown a stick. He reminded of our politicians :)
It is so strange that we discovered a new road today from Ayub Park to our house which we had never seen before. It was a pleasant surprise and now when the journey to Ayab park has just been reduced to 5 minutes drive from a huge 15 previously, I guess we may be visiting there often and not just collect the Sawab of good intentions :)
