Of war and peace.....

It was a leisurely day today though by no means useless, in fact had lots of high action too.Had a detailed discussion with the printer on the second edition of the book. Printing has been done but the binders of the press were doing a sloppy job, hence we had to call the owner to terrorize him J.  It is a tested rule of life that unless a mission is done with insane passion and fanatic sense of duty, it does not change destiny.  Our nation needs to learn this sacred rule of life. An officer also came to meet from the forward area. MashAllah a true specimen of what a Pak army soldier should be.

You know what? We have also started the Urdu translation of the book and the first chapter has already been done MashAllah. We have finally found a passionate soul who has the right mix of emotions, language skills, background knowledge and respect for our mission to take on this mammoth duty. We have started it and InshaAllah, should finish it in the next 2 months. Was back home early today just before Asar salat.

Despite desperate attempts by Umm e Aiman, I did not budge to go to Ayyub Park and once again today we got the Sawab for good intentions only :)

But really there was a more serious reason for me to stay at home. A civil war was going on in our side lawn between our chickens, ducks and cats with Maximus acting as the cheer leader. (Maxi is our Labrador). All the ingredients of provincial, ethnic, linguistic and tribal warfare are present when you have ducks of various breeds and chickens living together with cats and doggy.

It is a really funny to see the battles when ducks chase cats, cats chase chicken, ducks chase ducks, ducks chase chickens and maxi desperate to eat them all :).

We have been trying to teach Maxi one basic rule of living in the family that when you live in a family, you don’t eat the members of the family! But alas, it’s Maxi!

In the end, everyone survived the hullaballoo and I came back with good war booty – 5 eggs!!

Sir, today I was just going through the various links on Balochistan Conflict. I was very much annoyed by the last day discussion on capital talk.

Every one just blasting the role of ISI and Forces, I also go thru the HRC report and found not much difference. However, on wiki I found that it was the tribes who did not accept the accede of Khan of Kalat and opposed Pakistan, and every now and then they hurt Pakistan.

Most funny thing was, one of the participant said the role of intelligence agencies and forces should come to end in Balochistan.

Role of the forces and ISI can not be eliminated even in 100% peace situation, and when coutry is at war what kind of pathetic discussion was that.

Sir, Its good to know that you have got pets in your home and you try to achieve harmony among them just like want in nation. This reminded me when i was young and we had a big lawn in with chickens and rabbits and enjoy the bounty of fresh organic eggs.
