Today, sacrifice all that stands between you and Rasul Allah (sm).
Sacrifice is a ritual but its spiritual significance is sublime and profound. On the surface you sacrifice an animal but in reality you sacrifice the evil desires, Nafs Ammara, your greed, your arrogance, your jealousy, love of dunya and family over Deen, your fear of death, the false idols that stand between you and your beloved Rasul Allah (sm).
Remember the Ummah and Pak Sarzameen in your duas. Remember the soldiers who are doing the duty today so that you can have a safe Eid with your family. Remember the poor and the needy who are not so happy today because they have nothing to eat. This is an eid of sacrifice, sharing, caring and purifying.
